Old Attitudes

In this series I explore femininity, sensuality and sexuality. The theme is the ever new, expanding, constantly changing role of women, which rubs up against old power relations. I am an observer and a person affected by it, letting inner views, everyday experiences and emotions flow into my paintings.

It takes a certain amount of curiosity, sensitivity and empathy to depict more than just nudity. Every nude is also a revelation of biography, experience and resonance with one's own history.
