Our Earth

Nature is my inspiration. Even as a child, I loved being outdoors. Growing up in the heart of the Ruhr area, the places where I spent my childhood were not exactly blessed with natural beauty. Nevertheless, we children made the best of it. We chased butterflies in the last wild meadows, played by the streams and built dens out of collected branches and leaves.
As an adult, I have travelled to explore vibrant natural spaces and enchanted landscapes. But the vulnerability of nature I experienced as a child still informs my art today.
